Mark Goodwin wins national Social Impact Award

IMAS Director Mark Goodwin was awarded the prestigious Social Impact Award at the 2017 Festival of Learning.

The national event, which acknowledges the benefits of learning, celebrates the achievements of adults who have used learning to transform their lives and encourages everyone to embrace lifelong learning, recognised ark’s determination to include all types of learners in his sports classes, leading him to establish England’s first mixed ability rugby team, and inspiring many more across the country.

Following the example of the Bumble Bees, other sports are now utilising the Mixed Ability Model to achieve wider inclusionary outcomes and promote a radical change in the way we think sport and education.

We all congratulate Mark for this fantastic achievement!
