IMAS is proud to announce that our Co-founder and Director Martino Corazza has been recognised for his work and has been included in the global Ashoka Fellowship!
Ashoka is the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs, established more than 40 years ago, and has since supported almost 4,000 Ashoka Fellows across 90+ countries.
Ashoka identifies and celebrates those entrepreneurs who offer solutions to social problems, seeking to make large-scale, systemic and sustainable changes to society. Ashoka searches for individuals who have vision, creativity, and determination and are motivated by public rather than personal gain.
Martino joins the network through his native country organisation, Ashoka Italia, which inducted the new members during its 10th-anniversary celebrations at the Changemaker Days 2025 in Milan.

This is a recognition for the whole Mixed Ability Sports movement, that through ‘normalising’ sport participation across global communities, is building a fairer and more equitable society!
In the motivation, Ashoka stressed how, through the work of IMAS, Martino is trying to bring about a society where sports become a powerful platform for true inclusivity, using the Mixed Ability Sports model as a transformative approach to not only change the landscape of sport but also to shift societal mindsets. This model has been acknowledged for challenging the traditional, exclusionary view of disability that often centres on medicalised approaches, instead “fostering environments where disabled and non-disabled individuals can participate equally, moving beyond separate or adapted sports, creating spaces that prioritise inclusivity”.
