Europe comes to Halifax to sample Mixed Ability Rugby

by | Apr 10, 2018 | Development Programme, European Projects, International, Mixed Ability Sports

The 2nd Erasmus+ transnational meeting was held in West Yorkshire last  weekend! With over 30 participants from 5 countries sharing stories, presentations and practical training, before a real  Mixed Ability game experience with mud, tackles,  torrential rain, bruises and even a (minor) break.  What emerged clearly once the mud was washed away,  was a passion for rugby to be  fully inclusive and open to everyone. That’s the message that will be travelling back to Italy, Spain, Belgium and Ireland with our European partners from Federazione Italiana RugbyFederación Española de RugbyRugby VlaanderenSunday’s Well RebelsInico: Instituto Universitario de Integración en la Comunidad and Per Formare.

From International Mixed Ability Sports, a massive thank you to Stuart Hill, Halifax Magpies Mixed Ability Team, Halifax RUFC  and all the partners who travelled to Bradford.

Capture the atmosphere at the ground prior to the game…and the weather front!
